Hola a todos!
Por fin I have fotos for you guys! I’ll attach them to a Google Drive and hope that you can access them. If not, digame. Also, I won’t attach photos of my gross finger here, but holla at my Dad if you want to see ’em. He’s got the photos. But here is a cute photo of my bandage today.

All things are cute and adorable when you’re trying to mask your inability to cut things like a real adult. And to clear some things up, I did not give myself stitches. That is crazy.
To talk about other things a little less dramatic, but still cute:

As I mentioned, my companion Hermana Antonio has some health issues that sometimes keep us in the house and sometimes makes us stop and take breaks. Usually during these breaks we talk about our future visits together in Punta Cana and various beaches in Mexico. I’m not really close to a beach here, but I swear I crave the beach every day here. But this was just a bad day that just got better after a quick nap next to the highway.

Just expressing my love for Taki’s. And no, we have not eaten that whole bag already, Mom.

Just to show one of my favorite trees and one of my favorite companions. 🙂 This is at a park close to our house with a lot of iguanas. We just pretend they’re not there and sometimes if Hermana Antonio sees one we end up running after her to get her to calm down. Man this girl can run when she’s scared. lol
Other fun things this week: we had food adventures cooking this week ‘cause foolishly I chose to do some pretty hard recipes that don’t really work in my tiny missionary kitchen for muñecas. I started out making pierogis with only one hand cause my dumb little dedo makes everything hard.
But my cute companions came to my rescue and helped me out. They were actually amazing. There’s a picture in the Google Drive file for you to see. Basically, I’ve got cravings for great things, but chavo for basic things – so we ate pierogis for three days for dinner. 🙂 But that’s fine, they were really good!
This week I’m going to make dumplings and I have faith that they will be between decent and delicious. I’ve already learned how to make tortillas, tacos, enchiladas, and a few other tiny things. This next week we’re going to try to make horchata and I’m going to write recipes down. You’re going to love eating at my house after the mission. But enough about food.
Oh, here’s a really hard part about this mission in specific: music. It’s literally everywhere and I don’t know if I’ve ever missed music this much in my entire life. After my mission I’m sure I’ll be engulfed in the world of Reggaeton. Everybody listens to either that or pop music from the states and it’s such a temptation. But we’ve got a fun way to avoid it singing soy un hijo de Dios if we have a temptation to dance in the streets. Ugh, I miss music soooooo much.
We found a really cool guy this last week named Thomas. We were in a Martin’s BBQ looking to buy some Coca-Cola after a long day and while in line he basically told us that he was going to buy us dinner. He was very nice, maybe a little drunk, but that’s not the point. This wonderful son of God bought us all dinner and even offered to buy us postre too. We shared a little about the Book of Mormon and he demanded that we pass by his house. He is so interested, I hope we can teach him. But we might have to pass him over to the elders. 🙁
We all woke up yesterday convinced that this area is going to be white washed. We’re not sure where the revelation came from exactly, but we all woke up with the same idea.
This last week could be categorized as pretty tragic due to the amount of people who dropped us. Everyone we were teaching last transfer with Hermana Tingey has dropped us or is too busy to see us and our new investigators are few and far between.
We’ve fasted and prayed so much this transfer for help but I’m determined not to lose faith! We’re doing our best and as a cute friend of mine said, I just need to relax and let the Lord do His part. So I’m going to do half of that. I’ll let the Lord do his part but I wont relax until I’ve done all I can and I can say with certainty that I’ve done my part.
I will see you guys next Monday, probably in a new part of Puerto Rico. I’m hoping for the mountains. 🙂

Tata for now.
