Welcome to Madeline’s little spot on the interwebs for communicating with her favorite people. Currently, Madeline is on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church. Maddie has dedicated 18 months of her life to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Puerto Rico.
This dedication means that she does not have a cell phone or computer, and only communicates with family and friends once a week through email (borrowed from a local business). The rest of the time she is focused on teaching the Gospel and serving the people of Puerto Rico. This focus means that she doesn’t listen to the radio or popular music, watch movies or television, or have vacations or weekends off.
You might wonder why she and thousands of other women and men her age volunteer their time and pay their own money to serve a mission anywhere in the world they are called to go. It is simple. Sharing the thing that has brought unmeasurable joy to their lives. It is the most important message of our time: the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Want to understand more? Visit Mormon.org.
Since many of us miss Madeline’s company, we thought we would create a communications hub so any who wanted to see how she was doing could find out themselves. You’ll see a link above for her letters. We will also add other information we learn through the family updates link.
If you would like to write a letter to Madeline, you can do so through email:
Or you can send her a letter or package. For either letters or packages, since both are stolen routinely across the world and more routinely in Puerto Rico, please send them to the mission office address listed below. They receive them during business hours and then distribute them to the missionaries.
