Wow, ha sido un tiempito, yo creo, desde que yo he escrito un correo de grupo jaja pero bueno <It has been a little while, I think, since I wrote a group mail haha but good>.
Everyone keeps telling me “welcome back” but I honestly feel like I never left. This island has gone through a lot and the people too and you can see it in everything here. There’s a lot of damage still from Huracan Maria and the island is still trying very hard to come back to where it was before. Everywhere we go I can’t help but see the blue tarp ceilings and houses that are missing pieces. I can’t even imagine how these people feel right now.

This is Madeline’s father. It was a little bit of a mystery, but Madeline did board an airplane this morning and arrive in Puerto Rico a short while ago. We are very happy that the Lord has determined that she should be back for the final months of her mission.

¿Qué tal? <How are you?>
I got a new dress and a new haircut, so I feel like a new person but it’s still the same little ‘ole me. Not much besides that happened this week. We’ve been cleaning out our investigator pool lately and We’ve decided to revert back to all the things that we have found successful in the past (aka Puerto Rico) and try our best to be the best missionaries we can be. My companion saw me have two too many breakdowns this week and we have come to this conclusion. I need to be more patient.

Thank you all for making Christmas magical and fun! I enjoyed every minute of it and I cannot express how much fun the holidays are on the mission. I learned so much and was able to find so many ways to try and be like my savior. How cool is it that even trying to be like him makes us happier people?

I was lucky enough to be Hermana Oliver’s last companion and today I sent her off to the mission home. Hence the super late writing. We just got done with this crazy day.
But I’m companions with another Puerto Rican missionary named Hermana Beard. We’re going to be STLs (Sister Training Leaders) and I’m puuuuuumped.
