Update

Hola a todos! <Hello everyone!>

Work here is still a lot different than it used to be and I don’t think it will ever be the same jajaja. We have a lot of interesting investigators that are very cool! We’ve been teaching a girl named Wilmarie who is only in her early 20’s and has the cuuutest children! She’s so smart and is honestly probably already more knowledgeable about the gospel than I am by now jajaja but she’s definitely become a lifelong friend for sure.

I just wanted to share a little scripture I was reading earlier today that caught my eye.

Mateo 5:6 , ‘Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre y sed de justicia, porque ellos serĂ¡n saciados.’

<Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.>

I don’t have an English Bible, so you’ll have to translate that for yourselves/maybe even look it up in your own dusty bible :). But I really like this scripture because it makes a lot of sense. I have found so many people over the last year or so who have this hunger and thirst for the things of God and the cool thing is that they have all been blessed immensely for just wanting the things of God. For just trying to do the right things. Even those who are not of my same faith!

I think sometimes we judge people on what religion they participate in or if they even participate in any religion. But I love the boricuas, because they say, “hay un solo Dios” <there is only one God> legit alllllll the time. But it’s so true! there is only one God, and He is our loving Heavenly Father who wants us to be happy and follow Him. We are on this path working towards the same goal, the same heavenly home with God and Christ. The only difference is how we chose to act on this road and if we use the tools God has graciously given us to use in this life.

That’s why I am so thankful that we have so many tools from God to help us out! He has given us so many scriptures like the Santa Biblia <Holy Bible> and El Libro de Mormon <The Book of Mormon> and even words from modern prophets! God loves us a lot man and I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it would be to not know of these many tools God has given us to learn more and progress more. to ‘quench that thirst’ for the things of God.
