Hola a todos!
Today is going to be and has been very interesting. Silly me forgot that P day is important and I scheduled lessons throughout the day. Important lessons that are with very important people that told us they couldn’t do them any other day. So as for me and my companion, we have been doing what I like to call rush P day. We only have about 30 minutes scheduled in to write today, which is a ton less than what it usually is so for that. I apologize that I don’t even have a ton of time to share a spiritual thought. but here’s a little update/faith builder:
We just got back from two back-to-back lessons this morning and they were both pretty great. We have one investigator who is really struggling right now because she feels like she needs to move and progress in the gospel but not being legally married is impairing her progression and she knows it. Poor thing. It’s a hard thing to have to choose between breaking up your own family or continuing living in a state that isn’t pleasing unto God. I have met a lot of people like this on my mission and I haven’t seen too many end up making any sort of decision. It seems to be easier to just not decide. But I admire the strength of our investigator right now because she is facing a hard decision with hope and faith guiding her footsteps. She hopes her boyfriend will accept the gospel and marry her but she has faith that if that doesn’t work out that she and her family will be alright.
We shared with her today about how she might be able to receive guidance from the upcoming General Conference and she is planning on coming to watch them with us at the church and bring her three small children too! I admire her a ton and know that God is preparing a way for her (1 Nefi 3:7). How have you guys seen General Conference bless your lives? I would love to see if any of you have any stories that I could maybe share with her next time we see her!
I hope to have more time next week to talk, jajaja!
Ciao pues (Later then),
Hermana Thelin
