Hola a todos!
I’m sorry for the short email today, I had to send out a couple personal emails to friends in the CCM who are struggling. But with the time I have left today I have a few things to say.
- I don’t know if you care, but my body is testing up quite nicely. I’ve got a nice tan going on and I’ve been told I’ll only get darker. I’ll attach a picture of my shoe tan to show the difference I have right now. And yes, I know. The tan line is really gross. I hate it too.
- The schedule changes were just put into act and it’s weird but I’m just going with the flow at this point. The biggest thing difference is the meals.
We get a half hour for lunch and 1 hour for dinner. But missionaries never eat dinner out here because it takes too much time out of your day to walk back home for only an hour of dinner. And we never have time to cook a good lunch so usually we only have breakfast and then like tuna sandwiches for munch then no dinner.
Really, I’ve been preparing of this my whole life to be honest. It’s weird but I’ve been making very nontraditional breakfasts lately. The other day I made mashed potatoes and chicken with sautéed veggies at 7 in the morning. It was delicious and I felt very not American.
I have three investigators working towards baptism and two who are close, but not there yet. Beatriz is a firehouse of the Spirit and she is always reading el LDM. She has this notebook that she keeps notes in it about the references in all the verses and she looks them up later. Her date is in like two weeks and I think she’ll be my first!
I’ll update on the others later, my time is up and my companion looks antsy for me to leave.
