Hola a todos (Hello everyone),
Yeah, sorry. Didn’t write for a while. Personal problems. Blah, blah, blah. But I’m back 🙂
Foto 1: California got colder, believe it or not, entonces (so) we went shopping today to get me a jacket or at least a sweater. Didn’t end up getting any of this, but you can bet your pants I’ll buy it next winter when I’m home.

Foto 2: This is Hermana Nez. She’s chill, my roommate and 100% new and green on the mission. Even though she’s an English missionary, we’re praying for a switch to Spanish so we can be companions together some day. She enjoys gluten-free foods, shopping, and the color mustard like me. We could honestly be twins. But we went on intercambios (exchanges) this week and I found out so many cool things from her and we had an amazing lesson with one of their investigators that was so powerful I just got reminded how amazingly great this work is. I am here for a reason and everyone I’m meeting now is a part of it. I’m so glad I met this chica.

Foto 3: Shameless cute selfie. I have no reason to put this on here other than to show you how cute I felt yesterday. It does come from a funny story though. I was trying to take pictures of my companion but bc of bright sun, I had no idea what I was doing and ended up just taking selfies until my companion came over and helped me. Technology is hard people.

Okay, so birthday section bc I’m a bum and didn’t get an email out for my birthday.
Foto 4: Mom sent me fresh bread. How fresh? Let’s just say my dad special delivered it to the office and I got it the next day. I will shamelessly say I have already eaten one loaf all by myself. Which leads to…

Foto 5: I am trying to eat 100% organic here bc I can and it’s not too expensive, especially when all you eat are vegetables and tacos. So, you can see my attempt to make a tomato sandwich with my sad little organic cherry tomatoes and fun fact: I am now more comfortable with knives again. My finger is thoroughly healed and the only consequences being numbness and a funny scar. Jajaja fun times right?

Foto 6: A member gave me the jeans vest and my companions cutely put all my bedding into bags for me to open as presents. I was wondering where it all went that morning.

Foto 7: Usually my parents make me a gr8 fab breakfast on my birthday, but this year was a very busy Sunday, so I just bought fancy yogurt. Worth it.

Foto 8: Mom and Dad do not disappoint when it comes to birthday stuff. I now have lots of pink everywhere. And I am sooo OK with that. Special shout out for the flower crown bc it made me feel like Lana Del Rey.

Foto 9: My favorite member Brianda bought me a coco y fresa (coconut and strawberry) cake and made us tostadas and ugh she was so sweet to us on my birthday. It was really cute and her kids were very excited to celebrate it with us. 🙂 They didn’t know how old I was turning though, so they gave me a (?) candle. I guess I still don’t look 20. 🙂

Foto 10: Look this candy up and BUY SOME, its soooooooo good. The old ladies always bring tons to relief society and everyone just snacks on them. Hecka yum.

Foto 11: This is my cute wall. Weird, because it’s not tradition for missionaries to decorate walls here but I needed cute things. Thanks to all who have been sending me fotos and quotes and postcards because it has made my wall ¡adorable!
