So, it’s the week after conference and I don’t have the time to write up a big long summary of my favorite discursos or anything but I have been impressed to send you guys a passage from the libro de mormon every week. I was really inspired by the short but poderoso talk given by our Profeta Thomas S. Monson how we need to be reading The Book of Mormon every day. We’ve been lacking in the investigators department lately because so many people have been turning us down lately even when we walk an hour to see them in the hot, hot, hot sun. It’s making my skin thicker and if you can believe it, a little tanner.
But we found this lady named Carmen who is super prepared and now has a fecha for 6 Mayo and every time we visit her we end up teaching a whole crowd of people including her family and vecinos. It’s amazing to be able to share this gospel with so many people. We always have to go to her house with like 5 LDM’s and we leave with only our own. I can feel the spirit so strongly there and I know something will come out of this.
I have a greater faith now than I ever had before that the lord does prepare people. He is here in our lives and is always trying to bring everyone back to him. Sometimes it takes a few sets of missionaries and a great neighbor or two, but everyone will find their way back.
Hermana Yingey only takes pictures with me if her makeup is done. And when she takes pictures she takes a LOT of pictures. I have like 20 exactly like this in my camera.
